Costa Rica Full Honey | Las Torres
Finca Las Torres is a high-elevation farm owned by the Ureña Rojas family in the Chirripó region at 1,550 masl. In 2005, Régulo Ureña and Isabel Rojas founded Café Rivense - farm and micromill that supports local farmers. Their dedication earned them 5th place at the Costa Rica Cup of Excellence in 2019.
The honey process was developed by the family themselves, skipping the washing stage, leaving mucilage intact during drying. Beans dry on raised beds for 5–6 days before being finished on patios, improving cup quality while significantly reducing water use. Result? a naturally sweet, silky-bodied cup with notes of peach, honey, and black tea.
Café Rivense also preserves a primary forest surrounding their farm, protecting local flora, fauna, and water sources — recognized with the Ecological Blue Flag Award from Costa Rica's Ministry of Agriculture.

Our brewing suggestion: This coffee shines brightest as a filter - pour over, Chemex or Aeropress will bring out its delicate sweetness and clarity. But if you enjoy acidity in your espresso, this one is worth a try.
-roast-
Filter — light roast, best for pour over, drip, or Chemex
Espresso — medium roast, best for espresso and milk-based drinks
Omni — somewhere in between, works great as both filter and espresso
